Trama:
La storia è ambientata circa 15 anni dopo l’abbandono del mondo da parte di Dio. Per questo gli esseri umani sono diventati incapaci di dare alla luce bambini, e di contro non possono più morire. In questo contesto i "Gravekeepers" (guardiani delle tombe) hanno il compito di dare la pace alle persone che oramai erano già morte da tempo. Una ragazza, Ai, è l'unica Gravekeeper nel suo villaggio. Un giorno, un ragazzo, Hanpunii Hanbaato, appare dal nulla e inizia a sparare indiscriminatamente a tutti gli abitanti.
